In the second part of a 2-part series on one of the most foundational aspects of life’s fulfillment – whether we can trust in ourselves – I have the pleasure of interviewing the person who quite literally wrote the book on the subject,
Tama Kieves.
Tama is a NY Times bestselling author whose message would be compelling no matter when her book was published but, in these times, it is just the flashlight we need to illuminate the darker recesses of our secret, inner world where self-judgment, self-criticism, and self-doubt (roadblocks to self-trust) hideout.
As I read her book, Learning to Trust Yourself: Breaking Through the Blocks That Hold You Back, from cover-to-cover, I felt as though her “voice” was like an essential oil diffuser for my spirit: reassurance and hope dispersed from almost every sentence.
In a style that speaks right to the heart of the matter and right into her readers’ hearts, she writes, “People who don’t succeed, get in their own way. People who do succeed discover their own way. There is one crucial factor that moves the dial. Every time. It’s self-trust.”
And Tama speaks from experience. I’ll let her tell you herself but here’s a hint: Harvard Law used to be part of her past, but a bag of Doritos changed all that.
Join me TONIGHT at 9:pm, EST in what promises to be an engaging and enriching hour. Comment, ask Tama a question (a special opportunity!) or just settle into the vibe of the show.
A few regular listeners have written to tell me that when they tune in on a Sunday night, their Monday morning feels a little lighter.
Come, hear for yourself. I’d love to know you’re listening!
